The Warehouse Associate I is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, warehouse, receiving, and shipping operations in a manufacturing setting working in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment while completing incoming inspections, maintaining adequate inventory levels, ordering material, and assisting with the shipping process. This is a salaried, non-exempt position. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure accurate, efficient, and safe handling of merchandise during receiving, storage, and shipping.
  • Receive, offload, sort, store and retrieve products.
  • Detect and report defective materials to management.
  • Maintain the work area, materials and equipment and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Assist with employee office/workstation moves and arranging furniture and partitions.
  • Transport shipments and materials to both Biocoat facilities.
  • Use the ERP system to move items within the facility.
  • Log incoming and outgoing packages.
  • Receive packages in accordance with regulations and SOP’s.
  • Initiate the incoming PMIR or CMIR process for received items.
  • Collaborate and communicate with all Biocoat departments.
  • Routinely inspect various safety equipment and fire extinguishers.
  • Assist in the shipping department.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of warehouse items.
  • Place inventory orders.
  • Complete weekly inventory cycle counts.
  • Maintain the shipping operation.
  • Remotely lock facilities daily.
  • Respond to security alarms as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Current valid driver’s license
  • Warehouse, shipping & receiving experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Training in handling of dangerous goods
  • Competency in verbal and written communication and problem solving
  • Must be an independent worker and self-starter capable of managing issues that arise within the normal course and scope of the position with limited supervision
  • Flexible team player with a service orientation and a “can-do” attitude

Work Environment:

Office environment with occasional manufacturing and warehouse area exposure. Physical requirements are those that could be reasonably anticipated given the job duties and work environment. Travel limited to 5% between office locations and occasional in-country business travel.

Exposure to hazardous chemicals in certain areas of the office. Must wear the required personal protective equipment while demonstrating safe working practices.

Physical Requirements

Physical Demands-Stooping, turning, bending, squatting, kneeling and the ability to lift to 50 pounds; constant/repetitive standing; requires normal, correctable vision and hearing, and the ability to accurately discern color as necessary to perform job functions.
