Annual Compensation Range: $57,000-$67,000

Biocoat is committed to providing the best in developing, manufacturing, and applying coatings on medical devices.  We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to be part of a team-oriented environment. To be successful the technician will have a positive attitude, like to interact with a variety of departments, be willing to learn, and enjoy the tasks at hand.  

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Install and assemble new machines and automated systems
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing lab equipment and automated systems
  • Diagnose and repair equipment failures, install replacement parts
  • Fabricate parts using machine shop instruments
  • Use a variety of tools for completing assigned maintenance tasks and workorders
  • Follow procedures and GMP practices
  • Log performed maintenance tasks through Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Conduct upkeep and monitoring of building systems
  • Perform routine building maintenance tasks to include painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry
  • Identify and maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies
Skills & Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in one or more of the building trades
  • High school diploma with successful completion of a vocational school suitable though more complex tasks may require additional licenses.
  • Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience
  • Proven experience in abiding by safety requirements and ability to operate and enforce all safety guidelines in a clean room and laboratory environment
  • Time management, prioritizing, attention to detail skills
  • Good written documentation and verbal skills
  • Ability to work on a ladder up to 10-12 feet
  • Available to work at times before and after typical office hours and act competently in emergencies if needed
  • Valid driver’s license
